So originally I was going to Europe with a Michigan State University study abroad program all about the horse industry in Ireland.
I was going to be in Ireland for about 2 and a half weeks with twenty others. Then I was going to continue to backpack for two more weeks with two friends. However, when I applied and accepted my spot in the program in September I thought tuition was included and that it would cost 6 grand.
Fast forward a few months and I realized that tuition was 3 grand extra. A few weeks after that I remembered that I'm an out of state student and my tuition is RIDICULOUS. That brought the total cost to 14 grand just for the 2 and a half week program.

No more horses for Jesse. I withdrew from the study abroad, but I'd already purchased my plane ticket. Rather than waste one thousand dollars I pushed my flight back a week. Now I'll be spending a week and a half in Ireland and then I'll still be backpacking with my two friends for two more weeks. Sounds like a perfect vacation after a rough sophomore year!
